Used Engine Dealer LLC stands behind the quality of our pre-owned engines. We offer limited warranty coverage to provide you with peace of mind when purchasing used OEM auto parts.
1. Standard Warranty Coverage
- Standard Coverage: All used engines come with a 30-day to 90-day Limited Warranty (or as explicitly specified on your invoice) starting from the date of delivery.
- What is Covered: The warranty covers the long block assembly only (engine block, cylinder heads, valve covers, oil pan, and internal lubricated parts such as pistons, crankshafts, camshafts, and valves).
2. What is NOT Covered (Exclusions)
- Attached Accessories: External bolt-on components (e.g., starter, alternator, intake/exhaust manifolds, fuel injectors, turbochargers, water pump, wiring harnesses, sensors, and belts) are left on for convenience only and are not covered under warranty.
- Labor & Consequential Costs: Labor charges for installation or removal, towing, rental car fees, storage charges, fluid costs, or diagnostic charges are strictly excluded.
- Overheating or Oil Starvation: Engines damaged due to thermal breakdown, lack of proper oil/coolant levels, or improper installation are void of warranty.
- Unauthorized Repairs: Disassembling, opening, or repairing the engine block without prior written approval from Used Engine Dealer LLC will void the warranty.
3. Installation Requirements (Mandatory for Warranty Claims)
To maintain warranty validity, the installation must be performed by a Certified ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Mechanic or licensed auto repair facility, and the following procedures must be completed:
- Replace front and rear main seals, valve cover gaskets, and oil pan gaskets.
- Install a new oil filter, oil, spark plugs, thermostat, and water pump.
- Flush the radiator and cooling system prior to installation.
- Verify correct oil pressure and cooling operation upon initial startup.
4. How to File a Warranty Claim
If you suspect an issue covered under warranty:
- Stop operating the vehicle immediately.
- Contact our support team at support@usedenginedealerllc.com with your invoice number, VIN, and diagnostic report from a certified repair shop.
- Our technical team will review the claim and provide instructions for repair authorization, replacement, or return.
